Circumstances: On 5/18/2026, at around 10:43 PM, Redding Police responded to the area of 9th Street for multiple 911 calls reporting gunshots fired. Officers learned a male victim was shot at by an unknown suspect and suffered a grazing wound. Additionally, a neighboring residence was struck by multiple bullets. A bullet hole was also found in the mattress of a bed where a 4-year-old girl and a 6-year-old girl were sleeping. Redding Police are seeking assistance to identify the suspect in this case. Anyone with information related to this investigation or the whereabouts of the suspect is encouraged to immediately contact the Redding Police Department.

Chacon has a medical condition that is known to cause odd behavior, and she is dependent on medications. Chacon is thought to have left her cellphone and wallet at her residence.

Circumstances: The Redding Police Department is seeking assistance from the community on locating a shooting suspect, who is considered armed and dangerous. On 9/10/25, at approximately 3:30 PM a suspect was involved in a shooting near the 980  Delta St, in the City of Redding. The shooter fired approximately 6 rounds from a handgun, striking multiple occupied apartments. The primary victim in this case was struck in both legs by bullets and was hospitalized due to his injuries. The Redding Police Department has requested Shasta County Secret Witness to offer up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of this shooting suspect.

Circumstances: On October 3, 2024, at approximately 0230 hours, Redding CHP Officers received a call of a human body being located on the shoulder of southbound Interstate 5 north of Gas Point Rd. Upon arrival and further investigation by the on-scene Officers, this incident was determined to be a hit and run traffic crash with the female pedestrian sustaining fatal injuries. No vehicles or witnesses were located in the area of the crash. Anyone with information pertaining to this incident is asked to contact the Redding CHP Area office.

Esquaville has been involved in numerous incidents over the past few months and is known to frequent the Shingletown/Manton areas.

Circumstances: On July 4, 2024 at approximately 1635 hours, the Redding Fire Department (RFD) responded to a report of a vegetation fire burning in the area of Buenaventura Blvd x Teton Drive in Redding, California. RFD Units arrived to find an approximate ¼ acre vegetation fire burning with structures threatened. The fire ultimately burned 2 acres. The cause of the fire was investigated and is determined to be Arson with the use of illegal fireworks. The Redding Fire Department is asking for the publics help in identifying the responsible party/ parties.

Circumstances: On March 18, 2024, at approximately 1855 hours, a 51-year-old male from Redding was
driving his Suzuki motorcycle northbound on Iron Mountain Road approaching Starvation Road.
At the same time, a white or dark grey pick-up truck, pulling a utility trailer, was traveling
southbound on Iron Mountain Road approaching Starvation Road. For unknown reasons the
pick-up truck crossed into the opposing lane, colliding into the motorcycle rider, subsequently
ejecting him onto the roadway. The rider suffered major injuries, and the pick-up fled the
scene, southbound on Iron Mountain Road.

Circumstances: In the morning hours of November 27, 2023, CAL FIRE and Shasta County Fire Department and the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle fire in the driveway of 13843 Ravine Road in the community of Jones Valley. Fire units arrived at the scene and discovered a fully burned vehicle in front of the residence. The cause of the fire was investigated and is determined to be arson. A suspicious vehicle was seen leaving the area immediately after the fire. CAL FIRE Law Enforcement is asking for the publics help in identifying the responsible party/ parties.
